Safety Pressure ratio
Different countries have to regulate different safety ratios on fire hose pressures. In this catalog 3:1, the safety ratio is the default safety ratio if no additional specification is applied. Namely, bursting pressure is three times service pressure.
Tips on Fire Hose
When you choose hoses for fire fighting application, water flow loss, bursting pressure, abrasion resistance, and lining materials are the most important four factors. Usually the thicker the hose lining, the less water flow loss.
The thicker jacket, the higher pressure rating, and abrasion resistance. EPDM and PU-lined hoses perform better than Natural rubber or SBR or PVC-lined hoses.
